Diplomat Program

The collaboration between UIPM USA and UIPM Indonesia strengthens their shared initiatives in international education and diplomacy, particularly under frameworks such as the United Nations ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). UIPM USA and UIPM Indonesia’s joint efforts are dedicated to advancing diplomatic education programs, fostering sustainable development, and supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


UIPM’s Diplomat Program is designed to equip individuals with skills in international relations, human rights, and global governance, aligning with UNECOSOC’s emphasis on inclusive and sustainable development. UIPM USA's collaboration with UIPM Indonesia facilitates networking and global engagement opportunities, helping participants gain real-world experience in diplomatic and humanitarian fields. This partnership also underscores UIPM's commitment to operating globally while addressing local and international educational needs in alignment with UNGC principles.


The Diplomat Program at UIPM aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, aiming to develop leaders in diplomacy with the expertise needed to tackle global challenges. This program is centered on peace and security, humanitarian issues, social and economic development, human rights, and sustainability. Through UIPM's collaboration with international bodies such as the UN ECOSOC and the UN Global Compact, participants gain exposure to a wide range of international issues, particularly those associated with the SDGs.

Key Focus Areas in the UIPM Diplomat Program

  1. Peace and Security (SDGs 16, 17):

       Understanding international relations and conflict resolution is a priority. Courses cover peacekeeping, negotiation tactics, and strategies for promoting peaceful and inclusive societies.

       Emphasis on governance and institution building, fostering partnerships to support SDG 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions.

  1. Humanitarian Affairs and Social Justice (SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 10):

       This area addresses pressing humanitarian challenges such as poverty, food security, public health, and equitable education.

       Training includes humanitarian intervention, crisis response, and partnerships with NGOs and international organizations to alleviate human suffering.

  1. Economic Development and Sustainability (SDGs 8, 9, 12):

       Courses delve into sustainable economic growth, fair trade, and responsible resource management.

       Focus on job creation, innovation, and building resilient infrastructure to foster sustainable development (aligned with SDGs 8, 9, and 12).

  1. Human Rights and Social Equity (SDGs 5, 10, 16):

  1. Environmental Diplomacy and Climate Action (SDGs 6, 7, 13, 14, 15):
